Job Title: Accountant (Tally Expert) – Chennai

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with strong expertise in Tally ERP to manage our daily financial operations. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate financial records, ensure statutory compliance, handle reporting, and support management with data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting operations including invoicing, billing, receipts, payments, and journal entries.

Maintain accurate and updated financial records in Tally ERP/Tally Prime.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements such as P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.

Handle GST filing, TDS calculations, and ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.

Perform bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, and customer account reconciliation.

Monitor accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely follow-ups.

Maintain inventory-related accounting and support stock audits when required.

Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and MIS reports for management review.

Identify discrepancies, resolve accounting issues, and ensure error-free records.

Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.

Maintain confidentiality and support process improvements in the finance function.
Requirements:

4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in accounting roles.

Strong proficiency in Tally ERP / Tally Prime.

Solid understanding of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and Indian tax regulations.

Ability to prepare financial statements independently.

Proficient in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas).

Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.

High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:

Experience in stock management or manufacturing accounts.

Knowledge of payroll processing and compliance (PF/ESI).

Familiarity with other accounting or ERP tools.

Experience in vendor management and costing
